Dear San Francisco — Club Fugazi 4/30

Dear San Francisco is a breath-taking live performance full of jaw-dropping acrobatics and awe-inspiring aerial choreography. This ninety-minute show — integrated with beautiful projected visuals, poetry and spoken word, and incredible original music — is a love letter to the city, paying homage to San Francisco’s rich history, culture, and communities. This show is performed by an international cast of nine acrobats from a variety of disciplines, including (but not limited to) hoop diving, Chinese pole, hand-balancing, juggling, and Korean plank. They are incredibly talented, and clearly in tune with not just their own bodies, but each other as well as they rely on each other for balance and support. The performers engage the audience through reading postcards written by some of the visitors beforehand, and going into the crowd during some of the acts.

The venue itself, Club Fugazi, is also an incredible theater with balcony and stage seating, an intimate atmosphere, and a curated menu of small bites and beverages that can be delivered right to your seat. The decor and lighting add to the show’s ambiance and elevates one’s experience even further.

With electrifying act after act, Dear San Francisco has a deep spirit and heart behind it. It was an incredible privilege to attend this exhilarating show.

IZZY: “I just loved the show, it was great to see something so different!”

SERENE: “It was such a unique experience that had me on the edge of my seat! The venue also made the whole atmosphere even better.”

ALICE: “My favorite performance is the Chinese yoyo. I will say I am biased as I used to play the Chinese yoyo as a kid and did learn it as part of a phy. ed. class.”
